Bye <3 <3 <3

Hello you guys and a fantastic welcome to my new post!
Today I want to give you not only a sneak peek, but let's say a little tour around my sweing atelier. it's been 6 years now that I have the luck to be able to enjoy this place every single day and I am fully aware that this is special and should not be taken for granted. I know many people who sew too and claim that they don't have enough space or that they have to put away the sewing machine every time because they do their sewing on the kitchen table and stuff like that.
When I started, 10 years from now, I also had just a small corner as you can see on my first picture but lucky enough to be allowed to leave the machine on the table, at least. Well in very short time things around the machine started to pile up and before I realised I was covered in fabric and other stuff a seamstress tends to buy when she walks into a fabric store :-). The picture you see had been taken at the beginning of this area and of course I cleaned up a little bit before I took the shoot :-).
I have to say that there are also some advantages when things pile up next to you: so you can hide behind them when somebody calles you (husband or kids) and not be found for a while, or in case you work so hard that you fall asleep you can fall in any direction being sure that there is a soft pile of fabric (lol).
No, to be honest, when I think back there's a feeling-mix of claustrophobia and cozyness... anyway, today I would never be able to fit all my stash of fabric and sewing machines (4 by now...) and other stuff in that place. The thing I enjoy most: the cutting table. I used to cut the fabric on my ironing board (!!)
So now I have a neat, organized, nice and big place for my sewing. Not so in my closet! 4 years ago I had to move and make some space for our little newborn. So now I have to get all my stuff into a 150x200cm-spaced wardrobe. The acutal situation here is very messy and explosive! Everything is just tucked in and there's no overview or organised system anymore. So I have a new project which I will be starting soon: Optimise my closet. The goal: clothes that are good combinable, not too many pieces, most of them sewed by myself of course, neatly arranged, up to date, trendy, modern, edgy, easy uptdateable, covering all different events and situations, just grab it and you have a cool outfit... well you've already notices... it's quite a mission impossible. But one is allowed to dream isn't it? So I will keep you informed and updated about this new project of mine, hopefully, soon and we will see how close I will get to my dreamclosed :-)
Let me know what your closed lookes like and if you are happy with it! Do you also dream about optimize it? Where do you start? How do you include your closet thoughts into your next sewing project? I am curious to hear about it. Have a fantastic week, stay, as always, sew-focused and I send you my big hugs from my sewing atelier to yours. See you in my next post. Bye!!
